So, I’m just posting a quick update on what’s been going on with me cause I haven’t posted in a while and I won’t again for a couple weeks, except maybe on Monday. I’ve been working on the Tree Jacket since I last posted; the sleeves aren’t going as quickly as I expected cause I’m working garter stitch in the round and it’s been fiddly, so I thought I’d be done by now but it’s not, so I only have an in-progress picture. I’ve still got one sleeve left and a few inches to add to the bottom. I’m fairly pleased so far, but I’m worried that it might be too small. I don’t know if I’ll be able to work on it anytime soon though, I’ve got a bit of traveling to do and then other projects I’ve been planning.

Also, on a side note, I took a couple art classes last week at a local art school: a collage class and a seed bead loom jewelry class. The collage class is not even worth mentioning, but the jewelry class went really well! My teacher even turned out to be a knitter. I ended up with these bracelets:

Also, one of my friends ended up working there and made me this clay dinosaur toy, wearing the aforementioned sweater I’d been working on between classes. I mean, sure, he could be the reptile relative of Voldemort [gasp! don't say his name!] but I love it [him?]. She even put a V on the sweater for vivian!

I’m heading of to yearbook camp tomorrow [i made the staff!] at college station [a&m], so I’ve been planning on making Koolhaas out of some malabrigo I bought a while back. It’s the loveliest bright blue color and I think it’ll be really cheery in the winter. If you can call what we have in Texas winter, though I’ve got a low tolerance for any temperature changes, so it’s winter to me.

As I said, I’d been planning on this pattern, so I was really surprised to see him in my collage class! Apparently, he’s one of Time’s most influential people. I was intrigued by his expression at first, then I realized it’s the koolhaas dude! I had to knit the hat after this.
After camp, I’ll try for a quick post if I’ve gotten the hat done by then. Hopefully, I won’t be too busy, cause the next day I’m leaving for Japan! I’m pretty excited though I haven’t got any knitting to bring with me. :0

I love the bracelets! And my Koolhaas hat has served me well in Texas. Although, a new one in MMMMalabrigo sounds wonderful…
